afikim on capitol hill
The inaugural showing of Afikim’s One Soul
Holocaust Educational Exhibit could not have
a more appropriate venue to premiere Liberation:
When Humanity Fails, than the nation’s Capitol: Washington
D.C. Representing several years of innovative conceptualizing,
meticulous planning, educational and graphic creativity and
countless hours of contacting and negotiating with people and
organizations, One Soul is destined to work its way throughout
the world.
Its value is best summed up in a letter written on January 3,
2006, to Rabbi Raphael B. Butler, President of The Afikim
Foundation, from Colonel Donald W. Warner, Acting Chief of Military History for the United States Army. The letter
states, in part, "From the moment you conceptualized it for
me, almost two years ago, I appreciated
the value of the effort (One Soul)) even
before fully grasping the breadth and
scope of the initiative. I thank you
for your ingenuity, resourcefulness
and commitment in bringing this
important initiative to life."
Following its inauguration in
Washington, One Soul will tour Army Museums throughout
the world. Afikim is also preparing the groundwork for
bringing One Soul to communities throughout the United
States beginning Fall 2006. For more information on the
